Invisibility

There are things in this world
That our eyes are
Unable to see
Like the sweet smell
Of chocolate muffins
Or the feeling of missing
Somebody
Like the colour of the wind
Or the iron bar that keep my body standing up
Hidden behind my trousers,
Down below my knee
There are things in this world
That our eyes are
Unable to see
Like some tiny details
Or exquisite sounds
And even my disability
I should never have
To tell you
What had happened
To me
I should never have
To ask for respect
If your eyes
Are unable to see
But it happened before
That day when people
Asked me to prove
To show my leg
Hidden down below my knee
There are things in this world
That our eyes
Are unable to see
Like the weight of
Someone else’s insensibility
That one carries within
